The Remington MSR appears in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as one of the two bolt-actionsniper rifles in the game. It appears in Campaign, and is available in Multiplayer and Survival Mode aswell.
Campaign[]
The weapon appears in the mission "Iron Lady", whereas it can be found and picked up during the battle at the Eiffel Tower, whilst you can pick enemies off at long range.
Multiplayer[]
The MSR is deadly in Multiplayer. Its has a pretty fast rate of fire for a bolt-action sniper rifle. When compared to the L118A, it usually prefferable due to it's faster rate of rate of fire and reload time.
Yet again, this weapon is a very fortunate one for the "quickscopers", whereas it is the most used sniper rifles in quickscoping terms.
Though this weapon is great and performance-enhanced, it has it's flaws. First and only thing is it's very high level to unlock. It is unlocked at level 66 making it the last sniper rifle unlocked.
Survival Mode[]
The MSR is unlocked at level 7 and is available for purchase for $2000. We advise you not to use it for close-quarters combat, as it is best suited for longer ranges.
