The L96A1 is a Bolt-Action sniper rifle featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops. It is the only Bolt-Action sniper in the game.

The sniper rifle appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops. It remains as the only bolt-action sniper rifle in the game while being the most powerful aswell. This is usually prefered over other sniper rifles due to its damage, but can sometimes be outperformed by the PSG-1 due to it's high recoil, slow drop-off, and slow rate of fire.
Multiplayer[]
In Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer ,you can purchase the L96A1 in multiplayer at level 27 for 2000 CoD points. The L96A1 is very powerful, ensuring a one hit kill to everywhere execpt limbs. However, it has high recoil, a slow centre speed an a low rate of fire. This makes the player vulnerable if they miss their first shot.
The L96A1 uses the SUSAT as it's ACOG. The SUSAT is semi-unique to this weapon, as it also appears on the Enfield. It is advised not to use the suppressor on this weapon, as it is only one shot kill to the head and neck, along with the slow rate of fire and high recoil, it would lower it's high damage by a large margin, and would technically almost lose it's one shot one kill capability.
